The corporate website of an atelier specializing in the tailoring, altering, and repairing of fur coats, shearlings, and other fur and leather items required a redesign. The old design was outdated, the user interface was inconvenient, and the website structure was confusing. The objective was not only to refresh the visual aspect of the site but also to enhance its functionality, specifically by adding a blog to improve SEO rankings. All this was to be implemented on the WordPress platform within a three-month period.
1. Design and planning:
- Conducted an analysis of the current website and selected references for the redesign.
- Created layouts in Figma for both mobile and desktop versions of the site with a mobile-first approach.
- Developed a new structure for page hierarchy and menus, selected a new color scheme, and redesigned the prototypes.
2. Development:
- Implemented adaptive web design with detailed animation work and adjustments for various screens and browsers.
- Integrated the layout with WordPress, used the ACF plugin for custom fields, set up form and review submissions.
- Configured the admin panel for managing template pages and blocks, optimized the site for Google PageSpeed.
3. Testing and Deployment:
- Tested the functionality and design across various devices and browsers.
- Deployed the site on the client's hosting service.
As a result of the redesign, the atelier's website gained a modern and appealing look, significantly improving its functionality. The ease of use for both visitors and administrators increased. The addition of a blog improved the site's search engine rankings, positively affecting the attraction of new clients. Overall, the project's objectives were achieved within the set timeframe, providing the atelier with an effective tool for interacting with its target audience and promoting its services.
