We were tasked with the transformation of an outdated Kazakhstani news portal, initially developed on the Yii2 framework. The primary requirements included migrating the site to the modern Laravel engine while undertaking a comprehensive redesign, developing an administrative panel for efficient publication management, and enhancing the site's functionality with new features.
Redesign and Adaptive Layout: The project kicked off with the development of a new design concept provided by the client. We made the design adaptive for different devices and browsers and added animations to improve visual perception.
Website Development on Laravel: Laravel was chosen as the foundation for the new site, to which we connected the adaptive layout. We implemented dark theme settings, multilingual support, news and category additions, metrics integration, and shortcode functionality.
Administrative Panel Development: We created a multifunctional administrative panel that allows for managing user roles, analytics of news views, and editing site pages.
Testing and Launch: We conducted thorough testing of the site, including responsiveness, loading speed, and functionality checks. The site was then successfully launched on hosting.
The project culminated in the launch of a completely revamped news portal with a modern design and enhanced functionality. The new platform provided increased performance, ease of content management, and improved user interaction. The site received positive feedback from both the client and end-users. Visitor traffic significantly increased, and thanks to the new features, the site became more interactive and user-friendly.
