- Website type: Corporate website
- Completed: June 2025
Update visual style, simplify navigation and improve UX without changing business logic and backend architecture.
Exmail Personal Account
— is an interface through which users access their emails, manage settings, and interact with the service. The redesign project aimed to update the outdated interface, improve usability, enhance visual structure, and ensure mobile responsiveness — while fully retaining all existing functionality.
Features
- Updated UI and Visual Style
The personal account interface was completely reimagined in terms of visual language. We introduced a minimalist design, modern typography, and a new color scheme, improving readability and reducing visual clutter. - Improved Navigation and Structure
The navigation structure was updated: blocks were redistributed, and information hierarchy was redesigned. This allowed users to navigate the account more quickly. - Adaptive Interface
The interface became fully adaptive: elements rearrange depending on the device, ensuring comfortable use on both desktop and mobile devices. - Preservation and Optimization of Functionality
All key functionality was retained: email filtering, forwarding, replies, folder management, and profile settings. Access to actions became faster and easier. - Integration with REST API
Thanks to working with the existing API, no backend rewrite was required — we carefully connected the new interface to the already existing logic. - Interactive Elements
All buttons, forms, and fields are equipped with clear states, making interactions more predictable and pleasant.
Implementation Stages
1. Research and Analysis
- Analysis of user scenarios and behavior
- Audit of the current interface
- Comparison with industry UX best practices
2. Design and Prototyping
- Creation of multiple interface variants (over 5)
- Conducting usability tests within the team and with stakeholders
- Iterative design refinement based on feedback
- Updating visual style and icons, redesigning typography
3. Development
- Adaptive JavaScript development with cross-browser compatibility
- Integration with the existing REST API
- Testing and A/B testing with real users

As a result of the work performed, the client received a modernized personal account interface developed using Figma, JavaScript and REST API, while maintaining all the logic on the PHP side. The new interface features improved performance, ease of use and adaptability, which increased user engagement and simplified work with mail. The project was approved by stakeholders and was successfully implemented without disrupting the service.
